- What cooling capacity does my project require?
The required cooling capacity depends on several factors: building use, size, insulation standard, internal loads, and climate conditions. We calculate and design each system individually – ensuring a perfectly dimensioned solution that is neither oversized nor undersized. Our team will gladly assist with sizing and technical planning. - Are Rox systems eligible for subsidies?
Yes – many of our systems qualify for funding under BAFA or KfW programs. We focus on energy-efficient technologies that meet funding criteria and, upon request, provide support with the application process. This allows you to reduce your investment costs sustainably. - Which refrigerants are used?
We use modern, environmentally friendly refrigerants with a reduced global warming potential (GWP) – including natural refrigerants. The refrigerant is selected based on the specific project and application – always considering efficiency, legal requirements, and environmental impact. Rox AHUs with directly integrated cooling or heating systems feature a direct evaporator or condenser installed within the unit’s airstream.
The outdoor unit is either installed separately or mounted together with the AHU on a common base frame. These monoblock systems combine all essential components – heat recovery, fans, filters, and controls – in a space-saving configuration. They allow for fast, straightforward installation and are ideal for buildings with limited space availability.

In this approach, heating or cooling energy is generated by externally installed heat pumps or chillers (CHW/HW systems) and transferred into the AHU via water-based coils. The systems are hydronically connected, often including buffer tanks, mixing valves, or pump groups.

Integrated systems from Rox combine the AHU, heat pump, control unit, electrical cabinet, and hydraulic components within a single housing. The complete refrigeration circuit is factory-installed, tested, and ready for connection.
